has spent 74 years in professional theatre starting as a member of San Antonios First Repertory Theatre in 1972. Performed on Broadway, Off Broadway, The KENNEDY Center, Ford’s Theatre, Houston’s Alley Theatre, DCs National and Warner Theatres, The Denver Center, San Franciscos American Conservatory Theatre, Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre to name a few as well as at The American Spoleto Festival in Charleston S.C. and The Edinburgh International Arts Festival in Scotland and almost every major theatre venue in Texas. 

The Tuna plays are among the most produced plays in American theatre. At the time they retired from performing the Tuna plays Jaston and Joe Sears were the longest running comedy team in the country. 

He also performed in national tours of The Foreigner and The Fantasticks. 

His self-authored solo shows include, I’m Not Lying, Blame It on Valentine, Texas, Maid Marian in a Stolen Car, Cowboy Noises, Beware of Short Texans, A Wolverine Walks Into a Bar and Blood and Holly. 

His new musical, The Nerve of Minerva, co-authored with Joe Sears with music by Alan Robertson, premiered at the Texas Tech University Department of Theatre and Dance in spring of 2025. 

He is a recipient of the Texas Medal of the Arts and as a Distinguished Alumni of Texas Tech University.

Chris McGarry is thrilled to be back with 100A after directing their Industry Night reading of DOUBT, A Parable. His Broadway acting credits include Salome alongside Al Pacino, and Off-Broadway work at institutions such as Manhattan Theatre Club, New York Theatre Workshop, and The Atlantic Theater Company. Chris has worked extensively with John Patrick Shanley; starring in the national tour of his Pulitzer Prize winning Doubt, A Parable opposite Cherry Jones and in Prodigal Son opposite Timothée Chalamet and Robert Sean Leonard. Chris appeared opposite Tom Hardy in Brett C. Leonard’s The Long Red Road at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre, directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman. 

In addition to his acting work, McGarry has directed for LAByrinth Theater Company, most notably Shanley’s Drama Desk nominated Sailor’s Song at The Public Theater in NYC. Screen credits include recurring and guest roles on Barry, Mad Men, The Sopranos, American Horror Story, The Good Fight, and Lawless among many others. He is a member of both LAByrinth Theater Company and The Actor’s Studio. A few months after graduating from the University of North Texas, Kathy was hired as a company member at Melodrama Theatre Company in San Antonio where she met Karen and Richard Jones. Later the three were then part of a resident company at the University of Incarnate Word and acted together in many productions including Shadow and Substance, The Crucible, No Exit, Crimes of the Heart, and Pack of Lies.  

Early in the 80’s, Kathy, Karen and Richard joined Jaston Williams and Joe Sears in a national tour of The Foreigner by Larry Shue.  

It has been over 50 years of sharing the actor’s life and now Kathy and Karen along with many other longtime friends have been gathered together to bring Jaston’s words to life. We are Family! 

is deeply excited to be making her first appearance with 100A Productions, and especially to be working with this remarkable cast. Linda joined the First Repertory Company of San Antonio in 1968 where she appeared in more than a dozen roles (and also where she first shared the stage with Michael Howard, Jaston Williams and George Burnette). In the late 1980s she acted with the resident repertory company of Incarnate Word College (including Kathleen Couser and Karen Jones) in Talking With… (“Marks”). She has also appeared at the Classic Theatre in The Tempest (Trinculo) and The Cherry Orchard (Charlotta, ATAC Award for Supporting Actress); with the Public Theatre of San Antonio in Wit (Dr. Evelyn Ashford) and Admissions (Roberta); for the Wimberly Players in The Gin Game (Fonsia); for Real Life Productions in The Sunset Club (Emily, ATAC Award for Best Supporting Actress); and at Woodlawn Pointe in Chapatti (Betty) with her talented, accomplished and unfailingly supportive husband, Michael Howard.

has appeared regionally, nationally and internationally in numerous plays and musicals.  Locally at the San Pedro Playhouse he played Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol” and Agwe in “Once on This Island.”  With the Magik Theater in the Botanical Gardens he performed Prospero in “The Tempest,” the Ghost in “Hamlet.” He has toured nationally and internationally in “Phantom of the Opera.”  He toured extensively with Theaterworks USA in “Babar’s Birthday.” He toured with The National Shakespeare Company in “Taming of the Shrew” and “Macbeth.”  With the Shadow Theater Company in Denver he was the lead in “The African Company Presents Richard III.” For 100A he appeared   He lived in NYC for 20 years and taught at City College of New York. Hardy holds a BA in Anthropology from Northwestern University.  He earned an MFA in Acting from Cornell University. 

has worked in theatre for over 65 years. A founding member of First Repertory Company of San Antonio in the late 60s and early 70s, he received an MA in Directing at South Texas State where he also taught acting. Then to New York City with many Off-Broadway productions and an MFA in Acting at Brooklyn College. He taught acting at University of Southern Maine and New England College; was director/actor with the Lanyard Theatre in Bath, Maine; played King Lear in an “original practices” production at Dramatic Rep. Co.; and in Portland, Maine, directed Hamlet and The Birthday Party and played (among others) Claudius in Hamlet, Herman Goering in Two, Roy Cohn in Angels in America and, just this summer, Falstaff in Henry IV-1. Since returning to San Antonio 10 years ago he’s played Polonius in Hamlet, Gaev in The Cherry Orchard (ATAC Award, Supporting Actor), and with his wife, Linda Ford, Weller in The Gin Game and Dan in Chapatti.  Extraordinary teachers include Jearnine Wagner, Ronald Ibbs, Spalding Gray, Kristin Linklater and F. Murray Abraham.  ’Tis an utter joy to work in this 100A production with Jaston, Chris, and a superb group of actors.  My thanks with love to Linda for all her wisdom and support.

is an accomplished actor, educator, and longtime artist in the San Antonio theater community. With a career spanning more than five decades, she has contributed to the cultural landscape through her work on stage, screen, and in the classroom. Karen spent nearly thirty years touring with Jaston Williams and Joe Sears and including “The Foreigner”, The Ford Theater’s “The Fantasticks” and the beloved Greater Tuna trilogy, to mention a few, and building on friendships and creative partnerships that stretch back to the early days of San Antonio theater. Film audiences may recognize Karen as “Nana” in Richard Linklater’s Academy Award-winning Boyhood, as well as from appearances in The Good Old Boys, The Homesman and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. Karen, alongside her husband, actor Richard Jones helped establish the University of the Incarnate Word’s Maddux and Cheever theaters, forming the Resident Theatre Company with the incomparable Ronald Ibbs and Maureen Halligan. Karen and Richard taught theatre classes for almost twenty years helping inspire and mentor generations of performers. She is delighted to be part of I Saw the Lights. 

There are not enough superlatives to describe the gratification Cindy feels sharing the stage with some of the mega-talented artist friends she has known for over 50 years! The entire cast and crew is a blessing with people who have honed their craft to near perfection. The tutelage of her incredible professors and instructors at San Antonio College, the University of the Incarnate Word, and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (NYC), prepared her to add her ability to perform with care and creativity and to try to reflect what was shared with her through the years. Having been on stage since the age of six, reaching this pinnacle of theatre art at 100A Productions under the impressive and compassionate guidance of director Chris McGarry is certainly a dream come true. She thanks the brilliant Jaston Williams, Rick Frederick and all at 100A Productions for this golden opportunity.

is thrilled to bring Dean Barley to life in “I Saw the Lights” at The Tobin Center’s 100A Productions. Will’s admiration for the genius of Jaston Williams runs deep- he traveled the country in the 2017 National Tour of Greater Tuna, spent a long run in Tuna Christmas at Zach Theatre that fall, and reprised the roles at Penfold Theater Co. and TexArts. Moving from Tuna into this new work by Jaston is an honor and a privilege. Favorite roles include Dom Claude Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Nostradamus in Something Rotten, Chris the Inspector in The Play That Goes Wrong, and Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey. Will lives in Austin with his husband and more pets than can be listed, and spends his happiest hours spoiling his grandson! This performance is dedicated to the memory of his mom, who never tried to fix him. 

is a professional actor and member of the Austin Playhouse Acting Company. He has appeared in over 30 Austin Playhouse productions including: Copenhagen, Inherit the Wind (B. Iden Payne (BIP) Award), Private Lives (Austin Critics Table Award), Travesties (Critics Table and BIP Award), and The Dead Presidents’ Club (Critics Table and BIP Award). He has also performed at the State Theatre, Zach, Hyde Park Theare, Subterranean Theatre Company, Big State Productions, and as a Guest Artist at St Edward’s and Southwestern Universities. Memorable productions include: The Glass Menagerie, Richard III (BIP award), Art (Critics Table award), Sylvia (Critics Table award) and Our Town. David received the John Bustin Award for Conspicuous Versality in 2002 for The Glass Menagerie/Richard III/The Seagull and Austin Chronicle’s Best of Austin Critic’s Choice Award in 2001. David toured with the Greater Tuna Company’s production of The Foreigner and as a dresser for A Tuna Christmas. He is a retired teacher in the Theatre and Dance Department at Texas State University in San Marcos. He also taught at Southwestern University, St Edward’s University, and University of Texas at Austin. He received his BFA from Southwestern University in Georgetown and his MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. 

is a San Antonio-based multi-disciplinary theater artist, director, and producer who frequently approaches theater-making as a sculptural form. For I Saw the Lights, Rick is thrilled to lead a deeply collaborative creative team in building and shaping the physical and atmospheric world of the play. 

Currently, Rick serves as the Creative and Resident Relations Director at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, as well as the Producing Artistic Director for its resident theater company, 100A Productions. His extensive background bridges both the theatrical and visual arts worlds, having previously spent nearly a decade in the museum sector at the McNay Art Museum and five years as the Managing Director of AtticRep. His design and performance credits span major cultural hubs globally, including New York, Chicago, Detroit, Russia, and Greece. Rick lives on San Antonio’s East Side with his husband, sculptor Chris Sauter. 

is a lighting designer from San Antonio, Texas. Some of his favorite design credits are The Hombres (The Old Globe), The Bitter Game (La Jolla Playhouse), and Junie B., Toothless Wonder (Magik Theatre). Most of his work is as an associate lighting designer for commercial shows such as the Broadway productions of The Who’s Tommy, Proof, and Beaches. He works for Disney Theatrical as the associate lighting designer on productions of Aladdin and Frozen worldwide re-creating the Broadway productions for everyone to see (Korea, Spain, UK, Japan). Additionally, he is also involved in the US Broadway tour circuit where you can see his work on the US tours of Beauty & The Beast, Stereophonic, and the upcoming tour of The Who’s Tommy. is an American contemporary artist, animator, and multidisciplinary creator whose work explores the intersection of technology, nature, and human perception. Raised in San Antonio, he studied computer science at Vanderbilt University before combining his technical expertise with a lifelong passion for visual art. Drawing on backgrounds in software development, engineering, carpentry, and coding, Guy creates immersive video, animation, and sculptural works that invite audiences into experiences of wonder and discovery. His artistic practice incorporates 3D modeling, custom algorithms, artificial intelligence, and environmental data systems to generate evocative digital landscapes and visual narratives inspired by the natural world. His work has been informed by experiences living in Seattle, San Francisco, Berlin, Barcelona, and New York City, and is deeply influenced by interests in meditation, mysticism, and the sublime. Guy previously collaborated with 100A Productions as Projection Designer for The Glass Menagerie and is honored to contribute his visual artistry to I Saw the Lights. 

is a self-taught seamstress, stylist, and creative director based in San Antonio. With no formal training, she learned by doing; altering and constructing clothing for clients through her business, Secret Seamstress, while also creative directing photo shoots and building content, graphic design, and marketing strategies for local businesses. She got her start with 100A Productions last season as a wardrobe dresser on Educating Rita, and has since moved into the role of Wardrobe Development Artist for I Saw The Lights, working alongside the production’s illustrator to bring hand-drawn character caricatures to life as wearable costumes. Vianey approaches every project the same way: as an artist first, figuring out how to make an idea real. 

Jeremiah is a San Antonio–based artist and all-around maker whose work spans sign painting, music, cooking, sculpture, drafting, writing, and craft. Originally from Lubbock, Texas, he studied at the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in Denver, where he was also a founding member of the DIY art and music space Rhinoceropolis. 

Since moving to San Antonio in 2009—by way of Colorado, New York, Maine, and Austin—he has remained deeply involved in the local arts community, helping found both the TRANSIT artist residency program and the AGORA art space. He has worked at the McNay Art Museum for 16 years as a matting and framing technician. 

Jeremiah has contributed to numerous productions as a set designer, set dresser, sound designer, and property master, collaborating with 100A Productions, AtticRep, L.I.P. Service, Anna De Luna, and Klose/Seale Productions.
